What you can do is block them if you still have a message from them which sort of severs the link between you both. You can immediately unblock them if you so wish. That will remove the indicator that they are on-line from your Inbox summary and likewise, it will remove the indicator that you are on-line from theirs. They will be able to figure out that you blocked them even if you unblock them straight away because as outlined in the summary I quoted above, half the conversation will be erased the minute the block is applied and if they still had that, they will be able to see that one-side of the conversation has now gone. I do wish their was a way to take them off that list and not really block them though. I have had a few say they are not interested and I would rather not be reminded everytime I sign on that they are still around!!! Tough part of fishing in these waters I suppose. It never showed anything if the Admin deleted them. It always has come up empty. It shows the date the USER deleted their own profile. If the Admin POF deletes a profile there is no trace left. Deleting the conversation from your end, merely deletes your view of it. It still remains on the POF servers which is why you can see the exchanges in the Contact History even when you have removed it from your Inbox. When they recontact you, their complete view is transferred with the new message. EDIT - Hold on a minute.... Theoretically then, if you block them and unblock them, the historic messages from them will be gone too. Any new messages they send will still show your historic messages to them though - one side of the previous conversations will remain. I'm not sure if that helps at all. I don't understand because I don't know how to block anyone and haven't set it that way. It sounds like you will have to unblock them. Go to your blocked users page. If you have never blocked anyone, you may want to consider that someone else may have access to your POF account as well as the email account associated with your POF registration. Am absolutely gutted about it : They did something bad... Just some Examples: They were found to be scammers, spammers, fakes, multiple accounts, or were reported for numerous reasons by different people and the key is numerous people, not just one or two for items such as stalking, harassment, or being total db's or for any other reasons listed in in Terms of Service or totally unacceptable. I grabbed my phone to verify the notice, and when I clicked on it, the app took me to blank conversation--no messages at all, nor her profile picture. I thought if that happened, the conversation wasn't deleted? Now I'm wondering if her last message that I never got to read was to inform me she was deleting her account and possibly giving me an alternate method of reaching her... I'll never know unless she comes back to this site. I'm wondering if there's a difference when deleting an account by phone app, or through the website, when it comes to what happens to the conversations? Some of her typos made me think she was communicating through her phone. I tested this on the account of the person I blocked and the same is on their end.... So, I am assuming that all incoming and outgoing messages of the person I blocked are deleted from their account and they have no trace of any messages from me whatsoever. One other question: If they received my message to an iPhone or Android, do they still see my sent messages even after I blocked them? I really REALLY want to connect with this person!!!!!!! Since you're still here, no one is saying you broke rules, but it is impossible for you to know the conduct of another person on POF. Bottom line, POF doesn't just delete people for no reason. Best you read Msg 25 in this thread. Admin deleted his account due to one of the afore mentioned reasons unfortunately. YOU may not have breached any rules but for an account to be deleted by Admin, they obviously did. Also, POF won't email another user's personal info. Sorry, but look on the bright side...

Now my question is : You say she exchanged phone numbers and you talked on the phone for an hour and a half. So where is the ozone layer, exactly, and how does it work.
